CRIMINAL LAW:

If you have ever received a traffic ticket from a police officer you felt you didn’t deserve, then you know what it is like to be charged with a crime you didn’t commit. The government has the authority to accuse any citizen of committing anything from a speeding ticket to murder. The government has at its disposal every police officer, Sheriffs officer, Highway Patrol Officer, and all other law enforcement units in addition to its investigators, detectives, and laboratories. Dozens of prosecutors are available to see to it that you are charged, convicted, and punished should you be accused of a crime.

All you have on your side is your criminal defense attorney. You had better be sure that he or she is a good one when your life or freedom is on the line.

Few things are more disruptive to a person’s life or the lives of their family members than being arrested, jailed, and subjected to the criminal justice system. I have handled thousands of criminal cases from simple traffic offenses, DUIs, drug possession charges and petty theft to major homicides, sex offenses and other serious felonies.

The government will use everything in its power to investigate, accuse, charge, convict, and punish you should you be suspected of a crime. You need a lawyer with my background and experience on your side to stand up for your rights, argue your case and assure that you receive fair treatment and due process of law from the system.

DIVORCE AND CHILD CUSTODY:

The only trip you need to make to the courthouse to get married is to obtain your marriage license. If your marriage doesn’t last, however, you may find yourself at the same courthouse standing before a Judge who has the authority to divide all of your worldly possessions and to tell you where your children will be living. A typical divorce involves division of property accumulated during the marriage; a division of the debts incurred during the marriage; potential alimony payments; and a child custody decision along with child support and visitation issues.

You made a choice to get married, unfortunately, you may not have made the choice to get divorced. It takes two to marry and only one to divorce. If you find yourself in a marriage or a non-marriage relationship and want out or if you are handed papers advising you that your spouse wants out, you need a lawyer with my experience to represent you in the domestic courts.

I have handled thousands of divorces; child custody disputes and child support issues for both men and women in my career.

You may not have a choice about a divorce but you do have a choice about your attorney.

JUVENILE COURT:

If you find yourself in Juvenile Court either you are being accused of abusing or neglecting your child or your child is being accused of violating the law. Either way, you need a lawyer representing you or your family member. Juvenile Judges have the authority to remove children immediately from the home of their mother, father, and siblings. Children removed from their parents’ home can eventually be put up for adoption by someone else. The well-being of our families and children is important to all of us.

When the government intervenes in your families’ life and removes a child from your home or accuses your child of committing a crime, you need a lawyer with my experience in dealing with Juvenile Court.

GENERAL CIVIL CASES:

No one attorney can specialize in every area of the law. If you need a good corporate attorney, bankruptcy attorney, or tax advisor, I am not your man. I do not represent corporations, insurance companies, or the government. I represent and argue for the rights of people, my clients.

If you find yourself being sued for money by a landlord or an insurance company or any party who believes you owe them money or property, I may be able to help you or at least refer you to an attorney specializing in that area of the law. I have represented many people going up against the "big dog" after their money or property. The lawyer on the other side knows the law and will use it to his advantage. If you find yourself facing a lawsuit you need a lawyer who knows the law and can represent you.
